Alvin and the Chipmonks

I'm pretty critical of movies due to my old school feeling that things should stay original and in saying that after I saw the trailer for this I kinda threw up a little in my mouth. I mean I have always hated the original and those songs...

( I had a dream after seeing " Hostel" to save my money and be a customer from that movie , if it where real somewhere, and pick a lovely lady or someone great overseas , but NOW it would be the guy that thought this movie up)

LOL! I saw the trailer when I went to see Enchanted,it looked like a cute movie for kids.I was a huge fan of the 80's chipmunk cartoons,so it brought back a few memories especially since they are using the same voices from the 80's toons

I personally would'nt go watch it,but I'm sure kids will enjoy it

The 80's incarnation of Alvin and The Chipmunks sucked... The 1960's version of their series "The Alvin Show" was a lot better...

When I 1st saw the pics for this,.. I thought it was going to be horrible. However after seeing the previews for it,.. I am kinda interested in seeing it, but I do have a little boy that wants to see it, so perhaps he is currupting my interest in it.

I thought the 60's ones were good too,but they didn't look as cool as the 80's ones

I've always loved Alvin and the Chipmunks (both 60s and 80s versions), but some cartoons just shouldn't be transferred to live action.

Had the Christmas albums, enjoyed the Chuck Jones Christmas special, and the 80s series. This looks like it is a step above most kiddie-fare, and seems pretty true to the source material to me. Me and the boy will see this.

I'll just wait till Best Buys is shoing it on their Hi Def TVs. That way I can watch it and leave and not have any money invested in it
