    '70s Flashback Scooby style

Has anyone stumbled across cartoon network's Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated?

I'm not a huge fan of Scooby-Doo, but when I set my DVR for the new Looney Tunes Show, I noticed there's a new Scooby show, too. So I recorded it as well.

The episode featured a Mystery Slover's State Championship and guest starred Captain Caveman, Speedy Buggy, Jabber Jaws and Funky Phantom to compete against Scooby and his pals.

It was better-than-expected throwback to the Saturday mornings of the past.

The animation style was actually pretty good and the plot was more sophisticated than the original cartoons. The villain's explanation of how he did it at the end is near classic.

I'm not sure if I'll ever watch the show again, but if you grew up on those characters like I did, the episode would be fun to watch.

Wasn't impressed with Looney Tunes, though, which is a shame.

If that's the first episode of SDMI you've seen you may be surprised next time. This was a special episode used old style Scooby characters and they even brought in old-school background painters to do the BGs with actual paintbrushes.

I worked on the other episodes as a digital BG painter. It was really cool to see.

Glad the new Season has finally started!

I haven't had a chance to see The Looney Tunes Show yet, I'm doing freelance for them right now.

MegoScott, you've got a cool job. I still have high hopes for Looney Tunes. Obviously, stacking it up against the classics isn't really fair, but it's great to see those characters in use for a new generation of kids.

I was impressed with the Scooby episode and again, it was really fun to see those other characters pop up.

That must have been a cool ep, an homage to the Laff-A-Lympics!

My favorite line was after the Speed Buggy introduction when Scooby asked him "Are you...a CAR?"
