    My new project

I volunteered at our Township's clean-up day in April. Someone had this in their garbage. I have always wanted one, but didn't want to pay the money. Well, free works for me!

It definitely needs some work. I am starting with the outside. Today I am trying not to stick my hands to the chimney while wrapping it with brick sheeting. After that, I have to tackle the roof, porch, and making a fieldstone foundation.

Hmmm,...I wonder how much money I can spend on this. LOL

It is homemade, not a kit, but I think the windows and doors are 1 inch scale. I will work on the outside, and if it holds my interest, I will then do the interior. But if I see a money pit, I may try to sell it.

I like the blue. The only way I might change it would be to make a patterned brick house like these that are in my area. However, I would have to be out of my flippin' mind to try that.

Ok, this is as close to free as I can get considering that a similar, new, assembled house can be $300+.

I have a basement storage and craft room. It and my library are both kitty-free zones.

A kitty-free zone, wow what must that be like? Our cats are like the Buffalo at Yellowstone Park, they free range EVERYWHERE.

You will all be happy to know that I managed to cover the chimney with brick sheeting without gluing myself to said chimney, the dollhouse, my workbench or the glue bottle itself. And before you think this wasn't a huge achievement, none of you were present for the 1997 still-discussed-in-my-old-neighborhood Great Stuff caper. My pride and twelve inches of my hair both suffered greatly.

They have these really nice Victorian ones at Hobby Lobby for about three-hundred bucks and they look like they are 8 Inch compatible.
I am thinking of picking one up for my daughter.
I used to have a Walton house back in the day. I used to use it for a villains hideout. I wish I would still have it. I ruined it. Stupid kids.

Hey Rallygirl, I dig your letter people. We used to have those when I was in kindergarten.

That is great. I cannot believe someone threw that away.
                          It's all good!
