I really enjoyed the flick. The Rock was great fun to watch. He dwarfed Diesel, who always looked like a big dude, to me, during their fight, which was really good. Rock's got a John Wayne-type charisma. If he can find the right director and the right script, I think he's still got the chance to be a star.
I've really never been a big fan of this series, although i've always enjoyed Diesel. But this was a fun movie following in the line of Dirty Dozen, Magnificent 7, even Ocean's 11 type of film where the best of the best or the worst of the worst pull together to do a job.
The scenes where they steal cars off a train are terrific.
Be sure to stay through the credits for an extra scene with the Rock and scorching-hot Eva Mendes.Last edited by madmarva; May 1, '11, 12:53 AM.Comment

I missed that Terry .... I hate it when they do that crap.
I wish for the Rock to reprise this Character in a Solo Flim or something. Dog the Bounty Hunter Would **** his pants onsite if he saw this guy. It would be cool if they rolled like Hollywood did for Tommy Lee Jones in the Marshall .

According to Dwayne Johnson, the role was written for DeNiro. Someone mentioned to Vin that the Rock would be perfect so he dialed him up and the rest is history.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
