I go to Subways once in awhile...it's ok (cheap)...but I just don't dig on their "spongy" breads much.
I prefer Togo's...their turkey with avocado is pretty good...I like it with sourdough bread.
But the one that makes awesome authentic Italian sandwiches in my part of of the world is A.G. Ferrari Foods at Piedmont Ave...their breads are fantastic (no spongy crap here, lol)...their Prosciutto/Provolone sandwich with garlic spread and a touch of olive oil (instead of mayo) is to die for...their Calabria Panini is also off DA hook...oh...and their Mortadella and Salami is also awesome...yum.



Of course you can make your own great sandwiches...who doesn't...but sometimes you are on the go...and don't feel like making a bloody sandwich...no matter how simple...I get sick and tired of making my own food all the time...lol.
