That's because the American auto industry loves to point out all of Toyota's issues, While Ford and GM have had way more recalls overall. Bet no one hardly even read about Ford's latest recall. It was buried in the back of the papers.

If it has tires sooner or later it will have a problem guaranteed. No matter what make/model they each have their own issues.

Many of the bailout funds by the banks were repaid last year in the fall. Not sure if the auto bailouts have been repaid yet. I had an article on it. I'll have to dig it out and see.

my first car was a pontiac and then I had 2 dodges through highschool and college. I bought my first new car in 96 - a ford thunderbird LX. I'm still driving it every day it has 193,000 miles on the original 6 cyl engine and original transmission and the only major repairs have been parts that wore out after their designed lifespan (o2 sensors at 150k) and this year my fuel pump and harmonic balancer wore out.
and I have a 76 torino with 233,000 miles but it's not nearly as reliable as my bird is

I love both my Ford Truck and Ford Mustang.

                Ford all the way, baby...

Having said that...I also love old school Mopar and Chevys.
