More Difficult to get a Passport

You have only until tonight to voice your concerns and ask these new rules *not* be put into effect. Not sure why the State Dept. is doing this but it will make it nearly impossible to get a passport if it goes thru.

State Dept. wants to make it harder to get a passport

    Excerpt:
"Extra points to the person who gives the best answer in the comments to the question on the proposed form, “Please describe the circumstances of your birth including the names (as well as address and phone number, if available) of persons present or in attendance at your birth.”"

So one as to be able to answer EVERYTHING in 45 minutes? Curious to know if those proposing such changes to the requirements are able to answer the questions without having prior knowledge of what the questions will be in the allotted time.

Absolute ludicrous. Shows exactly how the American bureaucracy is working against the definition of the USA. Out of touch with reality.

Man, a lot of that stuff I could never compile at all. I was adopted and all I have to go on is my birth last name, which I recently learned when my dad gave me all the paperwork. Guess I'll never be leaving the US.

I'm glad I got mine before my cruise last November. But I used my old passport to get it.

Well let's see now...Mum being the kind-hearted soul she is, let student nurses come in to watch, as they needed to see a certain number of births to gain their accreditation.

There were 22 of them plus the doctor and who knows how many others. Quite a show...

Yeah, most hospitals ask strangers in the waiting room to come in during a woman's child birth to view her va-jay-jay.

After reading the comments under the article, poor Rallygirl is once again faced with the reality that I am obsessive-compulsive beyond the scope of what most people can understand. My first thought honestly was, "Now, why wouldn't you know all those things?". My second thought was, "Holy crap, I am even more weird than most people realize.".

Then again, it might give you an appreciation of what your mother went through to bring you into this world...
