Almost impossible to do a line of 5 from the 70's, especially forcing a luchador into one of the slots, but here you go:

    Jerry Lawler
    Harley Race
    Nick Bockwinkel
    Mr. Wrestling
    Dr. Wagner

It's the perfect lineup. Two faces, two heels and a tweener.

Would everyone agree that this is MM's most famous mask?
Yes...I think his white mask is his most famous one.

The gold one is a close second...

White or gold works for me as long as the basic design is the same.

I think if Sandy makes Santo, Blue Demon, and Mil Mascaras...he should make Mil Mascaras mask gold...because white would clash with Santo's silver one.

          Santo...silver/white

          Blue Demon...blue

          Mil Mascaras...gold

Or since Mil Mascaras is known for multiple masks...Sandy could make a Mil Mascaras figure that features TWO masks...his most famous ones...white and gold...kinda like accessories.

              Gotta say, Hec...

You and the boys got me pretty fired up about this. I'm gonna put the "70's wrestlers" line on hold for now and start with the 3 luchadores. Santo, Blue Demon and Mil Mascaras. I actually started the Santo sculpt yesterday.

Question is; Do I do them as two packs as individual characters, one in civilian garb, the other is the wrestling attire? OR Do I do the Santo/Blue Demon set as a two pack, available in two versions; Civilian and wrestling attire? Mil Mascaras would have to be separate if I did them this way... Also, the masks will not be removable. The heads will be sculpted with the masks on.

              Thoughts?

I think Civilian Garb would be cooler. most of the time they were dressed especially in the later films as they got older.

My fav films that all three were in were: Santo en Las momias de Guanajuato and Santo en el Misterio en las Bermudas

The beauty of these figures would be once I have the heads done, the garb could be really be anything... Different suits, tights, etc... Looking forward to getting these out there for you guys!

Having an option of garb is best.

Some...like myself...prefer the luchador with cape look...and some prefer the groovy movie suits...lol.

And like I said before...offering Mil Mascaras in both his white and gold masks...would be a good option as well.

Hope this song will give you some inspiration:

Los Campiones del Justicio by the Ghastly Ones

Great surf band from Van Nuys.

Love the cape and civilian garbs myself and a turtleneck for El Santo would be slick.

That's a perfect example why Mil Mascaras gold mask version would work best...it contrasts Santos' own mask much better...

I was just messing around w/ you and making a joke at Dusty's expense, Hector. No one views Dusty Rhodes as being as legendary as people view luchadores; although I'd bet serious money he could put away more lunch than El Santo and Demonio Azul combined!

Even though logically, since you're going for 3 characters, a two-pack with the same wrestler in civilian and wrestling gear would work most easily, I think a two-pack with Blue Demon and Santo is just too cool an idea to let go.

So, I say Blue Demon and Santo together.

I'm thinking that whoever designs the boxes is gonna have so many film posters and other great reference to work from that they could make something very sweet to go along with the figures

A friend of mine did Santo and Blue Demon figures several years ago and I did the packaging...
