Does anyone remember this titianic bad film from 1980

Awhile back i came across an old box of VHS tapes from the early 80s and i found this film taped off HBO and after watching it i wish this tape was left lost
Just wondering if anyone remembers this movie?

Hmmmm....

I never saw it, but I remember the ads. Seems like it was WAY hyped for a month or so, and then completely disappeared. I'd kinda like to see it, 'cos I like silly stuff and it looks to have some neat underwater scenes. Tragically, I suspect there's like; fifteen minutes of that, and 3 hours of people shouting at each other....

Sorry, no way it's worse than this one, Going Overboard, from Adam Sandler. His first starring gig prior to his SNL time. Best thing about this movie was the dvd case. I could reuse it on one I broke. I couldn't get past the first half hour. Filmed on a cruise ship during an actual cruise to the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant in Cancun. That way he got free hot women for it. Such a fiasco the cameramen forgot their lenses and had to shoot the entire movie with one. It's horrible. I've seen redneck home videos that were more impressive. It couldn't even get released until Sandler hit it big and they took a chance. Trailer below.

Sure, I remember "Raise the Titanic". Saw it in the theatre back around 1980.

It's based on a novel by Clive Cussler, but I never read the book.

Produced during an era before it was ascertained that the Titanic broke in two as she went down.

Yeah, I loved the movie, and the book. I owned it on RCA CED back in the day. Was it ever released on DVD? Seems to me I watched it on DVD a few years ago.
