Friday the 13th: The Series ? anyone seen it?

I have all the film trilogy and love them I really fancy this how different is it from the films is it any good? more tame ....anyone seen it let me know there some DVDs on UK e bay ....

It's pretty good. If I remember correctly the three characters search for items from an antique store that are possesed.

Yeah I used love watching it.
one episode was a salute to "king" Kirby and his fight for his work.
and one with glove that heals and the cursed Boxing gloves. are my faves.

Its a pretty good series,each week a new thing they have to chase down.It ran for a couple seasons.In reruns it was shown for years.

I used to watch it occasionally, it was pretty good. Not gory, nothing from the movies other than the name. There were two teens that had to track down all the devil-cursed items their deceased uncle had sold to unsuspecting people from his antique store.

As I recall, the original intent for the movies was each one was going to be a horror/slasher/mystery story different from the last but the "Jason" idea became the theme for all the movies in the end.

The creators decided to go back to the original intent of the movies and thus the series was created.

There is a new series running now that is just about the same premise. Warehouse something or other. I watched an ep or two.

I watched it when it originally aired. it is a series about these people that have to collect all these evil artifacts that were stolen or something. pretty cheesy really. I think it was a canadian production. fun to watch for what it is.

I'm surprised to see our library has it ,all 3 seasons.6 disks first 2 seasons and 5 for the last.I forgot about them being 1 hour long each.

It's actually a really good show. Labeling it Friday the 13th probably had was a horrible mistake, as most people think it's about Jason, which it's not. I'm sure they thought it would be the other way around, but I suspect the lasting effect was more negative than positive.
