Another if you had a time machine question...

I was watching an old music video from 1979 and while watching it realized that 32 years ago really is a very long time, even though it seems like yesterday to me. And that of course is because I lived through those times and can just pull up fond memories, etc.

So here is my question...and let's assume that you yourself cannot be injured and also, in turn, cannot change or alter history or events:

Would you go back to a time period in which you lived to try and recapture some fond memories or go back to a time that you hadn't experienced, like the 1800's or even the stone age, just to see what it was like? Oh, and let's also assume that you can only do this once for a 24 hour period.

I have always been a nut on wondering what people really sounded like, so I would do something like find Shakespeare or George Washington or something like that just to hear their voice.
    It's all good!

I'd visit a lot of my own past history.

Several things I should have done differently. Even if I couldn't change them, I suspect I could experiance some of the the things I had hoped to do, but didn't for whatever reason.

Beyond that, maybe visit some of the 50's.

Like to check out a lot of vintage toy aisles that I don't quite recall getting to look at.

Recapturing, definitely. I'd also like to see my parents and older brothers and sister when they were little.

Not just because it's Good Friday today, but going back to the Crucifixion and original Easter morning in Jerusalem would answer a lot of things for me.

          Three things for me.

Cretaceous Period so I can see a live and awesome/mighty T-Rex in person (would probably need a breathing suit though, since the atmospheric conditions were different back then).

Meet Jesus. No, I'm not religious...but he was a righteous dude who changed the world...would be an honor to hang out with him breaking bread and drinking some red wine.

See my dad one more time.

I wouldn't go back any further than when people still had flush toilets and used deodorant

I've thought of this scenario a lot. I'd go back to my childhood era and take lots of photographs. I'd also make some long term stock investments...

I'd really like to go back and live from 1938 to 1949 (I know that's not the rules but..). It would give me the chance to meet both of my grandfathers, who died before I was born, and I also love the culture and history of that period.

I go see all my favorite movies from that period, read the comics, listen to the radio shows. Also think what it would be like to read about WWII as it happened.

However...my time travel trips would only be for a day or so...

Honestly, I would enjoy a 24 hour period just enjoying a part of my own childhood...a time without stress of paying a bill, working for a paycheck, or caring about the world outside my own town.

I would love to go back and experience the life in the time of my great grandparents. Since our area was settled fairly late in the grand scheme of things, in 1900 I would be able to see virgin land along with the recognizable foundations of our current cities.

And here comes the dumb part, it would be so amazing to see it in real life, in color! When I look at all of the fantastic photo albums that my great grandma left me, I have a difficult time picturing it in color. I always wrongly imagine their environment being drab, like the black & white photos.

I'd go back and stop my best friend from drowning the year after high school.

The crucifiction, that would definately be number one, as someone earlier said, it would answer a lot of questions.
