I celebrated Earth Day by providing Food for the Bat population. Let me explain: I had 4 Tires changed at the Garage and they wanted to charge me a $3.00 fee a piece, to dispose of the old ones. So I said to heck with that...and drove out to a country Road, and rolled them down a steep hill, into the woods. Ya see...the stagnant water that collects in them, will provide an excellent place for Mosquitoes to breed...thus giving Bats more food to eat. Thoughtful huh?

Just doing my part to help the Eco system.

I didn't realize it was earth day as my thoughts were elsewhere....but what a great way to think of two days from a different point of view...thank for reminding me (and I'm not being sarcastic; I honestly didn't know)

The powers that be could have picked another day besides Good Friday.

I'm glad People realized I was joking. Sometimes my twisted sense of humor gets lost over the internet.

I thought about driving over to Lowe's for a free tree, but I'm not sure it makes sense to burn 1/2 of a gallon of gas in that endeavor.

                Okay, I'm a bit slow tonight ...

Anyway, speaking of bats, I saw a magnificent one last night. They live in the trees near my place. Huge wing span..about a metre or so wide. Sometimes they just swoop out of the trees and come real close. Very cute. One night, one followed me right down the street to the beach and then back home again. It was very eerie.

Yeah, we had a lot of Bats when I live in the country, and had a Barn. They would fly down real close, and circle you...kind of checking you out. But as Kid I had no fear of them..I just thought they were really COOL!

It's the same day every year, it just happened to fall on a Friday this year.
