    iPhone 4 vs. Droid X

Thinking of taking the smartphone plunge. I will be going with Verizon as the carrier.

What phone do you guys/gals have? Opinions on which is better?

I have the iPhone, my wife has a Droid 2. The iPhone is faster and the screen is much bigger. I was anti-Apple for years, but my phone has won me over.

I initially had bought an Inpire 4G smartphone first (and I'm a Mac guy, lol)...and took it back three days later. It had a trigger-happy touch screen (I kept dialing other people)...and its speaker feature (which I use all the time) was horrid.

Got the iPhone 3GS instead...plus it's obviously compatible to my Mac Pro (duh)...and couldn't be any happier...

I'd like to apologize in advance to my fellow Apple users - Mego Talk

I'd get the iPhone 3GS instead of the iPhone 4...it's a lot cheaper...and they are basically the same thing (the iPhone 4 has a bit more memory)...plus the iPhone 4 has a disconnect issue...the antenna meets in the lower left-hand side...and when you palm it there...you cut off the signal.

However...if you get a case for it...that should fix the problem.

BTW...the best case is the Otterbox Defender...nothing comes even close...

Be sure to get an anti-glare screen though...otherwise you'll get moist-smudges.

I have an IPhone 4 that I love. It does have a few features that the 3 does not have, and some applications will only run on the IOS 4. It has FaceTime calling and multitasking, a lot more power and Retina display...amazing graphics.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. No Driod Fans

Now, I heard rumors that iPhone 5 might be released in late June or July.... Maybe I should wait?

Remember when it was simple to buy a phone and a tv?

They usually release the new models around June or July, but I have heard reliable info that the iPhone 5 will be quite a bit later this year, so you might not want to wait if you need one soon.

I have the HTC EVO 4G... best phone ever (smokes the neighbors IP4)! The great thing about most of the Droid phones is you can do two things Apple will never let you do... upgrade the memory, and upgrade the battery. I have not done either (yet, haven't had too), but it's nice to know I can. The screens are more customizable as well, you have more contol over the layout of your phone... it's just more friendly IMHO. In the end ya gotta do what's good for you. I love my EVO!
