    Don't Call It A Comeback - The Clown

    With some local govt.s recent attempting to get the Golden Arches to pull toys out of Happy Meals, McDonalds is pulling out the big gun to fight back! (OK maybe not "fight back", but it sounded good).



    McDonalds has announced they are bringing back Ronald McDonald to promote the brand. Next Wednesday, you might start seeing some TV ads, starring the Ronald. Also expect to see him have a much larger web presence. Lately, McDonalds has really been pushing adult oriented products like smoothies and specialty coffees.

    No word if any other McCharacter might return. I think the Hamburglar is enjoyiong a successful stage career, but I believe Grimace is available.

      Well it's about time! They really need to get back to basics. I miss the old characters of McDonaldland and the premiuims for them. But it'll be interesting to see their approach. They came out w/ a Halloween video in the mid 90s I bought for a little girl that was terrible! I would like to see something along these lines:

                                          I never counted Ronald McDonald as a "clown"

                                          I always counted him more in the catagory of a Kid's TV host like Fred Rogers, Cap'n Kangaroo or Bob McAlister
