    The Mist

Good monster movie. It had a lot to it. A fanatical religious nut, tampering with the unknown, Crazy, crazy monsters! The ending is wild. all in all a good Stephen King movie for a change.

If this is the same story i'm thinking of, I used to have it on cassette back in the early 80's and it was the funniest most blatent product advertizing rubbish i've ever heard.

Here's an example of a few lines (not quotes-- just remembering off the top of my head)

      People trapped in a supermarket.....
Hurry!!!, we need to block the door !!! Get some cases of Helmans real mayonaise!!!

There were at least 200 product references like that throughout the story.

Yeah Mike...I hate how these days advertising creeps into movies so blatantly. Puke.

I liked it up until the ending. I won't ruin it because it is at least interesting. I just didn't think it seemed logical, at all.

Ya Goblin, the ending was weird. I was hoping it would happen differently.

Yep, I didn't necessarily have a problem with what happened, just the way it happened in the movie. Trying to be vague for those who plan to see it. Of course, based on my theatre's attendance, that's not many. I moved it to my smallest auditorium and never reached a quarter capacity. Probably not the best release date for this type of movie. That's twice this year for the Weinstein Company. First, they released Grindhouse over Easter weekend, then this for thanksgiving.
