Cheetah or Nikima?

Ok, Tarzan fans....

For those who watched those old movies on Saturday afternoons, maybe you like Cheetah the best. And for those of you who grew up watching the Filmation cartoon on Saturday mornings, maybe you like Nikima the best.

So, which of Tarzan's simian friends do you prefer?

Nkima. The Filmation Tarzan series was great fun and very well done. Besides, Cheeta the ape was not in the Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan books, Nkima the monkey was, Cheeta was created for the movies. Not to mention adult Chimpanzees are HUGE and vicious. So, yeah, I vote for little Nkima.

When I'm being a Burroughs/book purist, Nikima.

But when I'm nostalgic for the Weismuller movies I watched every Sunday afternoon for years, it's Cheetah.

Of those two choices, definitely Nkima. Out of the mangani, though, I'd pick Akut. He rocked.

since I don't really remember the filmation series....I vote for Cheetah, i used to love watching those old movies on Saturday and Sunday......but I agree with Mike, Jane is more to my liking
