Yep, they're still in business. I remember getting ice cream cakes for my birthday and picking out that sugar gel they would use to decorate with. We don't have one locally but I have seen carvel ice cream cakes at one of our local grocery stores....I think it is Safeway. I don't think they are quite as big as they were years ago though. A lot of companies like Baskin-Robbins, DQ, plus newer companies like Cold Stone Creamery jumped in the marketplace."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

There are at least 6 or so here in Queens, NY Mike. Forest Hills/Metropolitan Ave, Bayside Bell Blvd., Union Tpke. Flushing, 2 in Whitestone, and 1 more. I'm forgetting the location. Also they are carried by most super-markets in the area.Comment
