    Wrestling with Megos

I've posted before that, as a kid, I turned all my Megos into professional wrestlers. I made title belts for them, and I kept a list of all the matches, title changes, etc. Seven years worth of records, over seven massive college bound spiral notebooks. (I think I started at 10 and ended at 17. Yes, nerd boy played with his dollies at 17 - well, okay, mainly I wrote about made-up matches at that point, but still!)

Anyway, today I drug them out to show my 9 yr old son. I still have a few of my original Megos-turned-wrestlers ("BlackJack" Thomas aka Bones McCoy, Eric "The Cougar" Grey aka Action Jackson, and The Terminator, a Mr. T head glued/taped on a black Mego body) that I gifted to him a few months ago, and it's super cool to see him play with them as I did. It was fun to sit down with him and read through those old record books and tell him tales about "Blackjack" Thomas winning his seventh world title, Terminator winning a tournament to get a title shot. etc.!) I know I still have a few more of those old Mego wrestlers somewhere, and he's made more himself from the current crop of reMegos. Hardly any new reMego I give him lasts even 24 hours without getting undressed and having their parts and clothes swapped around with the rest of his guys. The tradition continues!

That's awesome Joe. I did the EXACT same thing for Boxing with my mego's. I had rankings, titles and even drew fight posters to hype my next big fightcard. I had my 8 inch guys in the "Little Man Division" and the 12" guys in the "Big Man Division".

I even still refer to my 8" Superman as "Little Superman" and the 12" guy as "Big Superman".

I had a similar experience recently doing "little men fights" with my five year old boys.

great that you can pass this onto your son and essentially have your old fed breath new life again.
