    Has anyone tried Zevia soda?

I was getting tired of drinking the same old diet soda, so I bought a case of 24 cans off of Amazon, black cherry flavor.

First off the bat; do not drink at room temperature! Stick it in the fridge for a couple of days, and let it get REALLY cold! It's more palatable that way.

Second; when they say they don't have anything artificial in it, they ain't kidding! No artificial flavors, colors, preservatives; zip, zero, zilch, nada, bupkus.

It's a clear, sparkling soda, with a very nice black cherry taste; not overpowering or cloying with sweetness (which I can't stand in some soda).

It doesn't give you problems with your glycemic index, has ZERO calories, and while there's a teensy tinge of bitterness, it's just that; teensy on the side of weensy.

The only thing that bugs me is the price. $1.00 + per can. Fortunately, it can be redeemed for a nickel a piece.

    Oh, no caffeine either.

We currently have a long soda thread going on right now...

Pepsi falls to third place... - Mego Talk

But to immediately answer some of your questions...no...have not tried it.

    Looks good...yeah...sounds kinda pricey.

BTW...you can almost instantly chill your room temperature sodas...stick them in your freezer for about 20 minutes...they come out ICE COLD...I mean...ICE COLD...but beware...don't leave them for over an hour...they will not only freeze...but can actually EXPLODE...it has happened to me in the past...lol.

Had that happen with a bottle of Diet Pepsi once.

My sister brought it over, and it was room temp. We stuck it in the freezer and promptly forgot about it.

One week later, I pulled it out, and it was frozen through. After defrosting for a bit, I tried to open it and it exploded all over the kitchen floor.

It was also flat as paint.

Based on your description I think I would just prefer to drink San Pelligrino or Perrier with some lemon and lime (fresh).

            Agreed.

I prefer Perrier over Pellegrino because it has a stronger fizz...that's my thing...I love highly carbonated drinks. But Pellegrino is good too.

I also don't like flavored mineral waters though. I tried the lime-flavored Perrier...and it was awful.

Perrier with a REAL lime on the other hand...awesome. Just squeeze REAL fresh lime into the Perrier drink itself...and now we are talking...delicious...

It's one of those things you have to get at a natural food store/natural food department. It's been around for some time and I haven't caught it at any of the discount stores yet.

Blue Sky is another one that is all natural with some really nice flavors. Their Root Beer is fantastic.

Love me some soda. Diet, caffeinated sodas and energy drinks are my only vice...
