    gas mileage?

As the price at the pump soars, what kind of gas mileage do you get on your every day ride.My sunfire gets 31 mpg.Makes me feel better than the guys at work putting 60 bucks in their F150's.

The last time gas soared in price i bought a '91 Honda CRX to commute back and forth to work in. I average 37-40 mpg.

We have a Mini Cooper....we don't even care about gas mileage with that thing. It's probably in the high 30's.

Our Saturn & Mustang are both 6 cyl, and get around 19 mpg when commuting. However, I'm still holding on to my grandparents' Escort '97 wagon, which is 4 cyl and gets in the 25-30 range.

I ride a Giant pulling an Instep trailer. 11mph pulling 100 pounds.

for transportation most of the time
otherwise we have a 5sp hyundai accent and an auto kia spectra - since most of my city driving is done on the bike the cars are mostly highway miles - both have astronomical gas mileage and we only put 10k miles combined per year AND we use giant eagle gas rewards to save money at the pump

so - I don't even notice when gas price goes up and down.

My truck, 04 Dodge 4x4 5.7 Hemi gets 12mpg. With all my work equipment, rack, 3 extension ladders, 8' brake, step ladder, side tool bin filled and back grew cab filled with power tools, it probably get more like 10-11mpg.
It is the only vehicle I have and it is what I need for the type of work I do.

Well I went from a F-450 to a new rav4 this year due to gas prices...am I ****ed about it..yep ,,,,do I like driving a little Toyota and not my f-450 nope. But last year I spent on the average of 250.00,, some time's more per 2 weeks to drive my truck. So there was no possible way I could continue to do that this season...Fuel ate a good portion of my earnings last year. My wife has had enough and reduced me to a rav4. First time I have ever bought a new car...bummed out truck driver facing reality sucks.Hopefully the rav will reduce the pain. She figures for what I spent on gas in 2 week for the truck will pay the rav payment. Wish I could argue it but I had no ground to stand on. Now all my truck buddies will get a good laugh this year when I return to work for the season. please punch me in the face now.

Not only has the truck Kept me in the poor house but Winter heating cost me around 2000.00 this year a lone in heating oil...I feel all my money is going in fuel. Not to mention food has gone threw the roof as well. We will be heating with wood next season and hopefully this little piece of crap car will help at 30 miles a gallon. drill drill drill drill drill for the love of god drill and bring on the natural gas.
