Am I the only person who thinks a GI JOE movie is just gonna suck. I love the old joes and collected the 80's line until about 85. Like the Star Trek moive as well. Toys will be out and clearanced in 3 months due to lack of interest from everybody. I guess i'm a purist for the classics.

Well I know I'm not expecting it to be a huge hit or anything,but I do have some hope that it'll be some what good.No one expected Transformer to be as good as it was and look at how that turned out...Pretty darn good if you ask me

I feel the same way. The initial rumors made it sound more like ACTION FORCE the movie with the team an international group based in Brussles (like Chris was saying sounds like Street fighter to me) hasbro has come out and said the group won't be based in Brussles but they haven't debunked any other rumors yet. While this approach is perfect to address the international audience of Joe collectors (3 inch joes have many overseas only versions) it might annoy many american audiences.
Sienna miller is a good signing but I am a long way from feeling exited to see the film. I never let the Transformers hype get to me unitl I heard Peter cullen as Prime in the trailer and I was in. I hope I will be as pleased with this

based on the sales of the 25th anniv Jove vs cobra 3 inch joes now the toys will do well even if the movie is junk so long as they are in scale with the current 25th anniv toys.

as military garb would give Cobra Command a much needed fresh approach to espionage
