I'd like to burn all copies of this book!

I was going through the bookstore, and saw something called Mr. Zombie.
    Sounds promising, right?

Not so. It's about a guy who's a zombie, and one day he's eating someone's brains and is about to eat the girl, too, when he's sees her and...falls in love.
    Huh?
And no, this isn't a ha-ha Shaun of the Dead comedy, no, the author states that it's about "zombies being emotional and in need of affection and understanding".

I blame it on Twilight. These days, all our beloved monsters have been transformed into caring beings, who just want a white picket fence, a loving family and a dog called Spot.

Where are the days that monsters just roamed the countryside looking for someone to throttle or eat? Can't they just leave one thing untouched?
Very soon, the Mummy will have a wish to go to dentist school and Frankenstein's monster will want to adopt Vietnamese orphans.

If I ever meet the author, I'm gonna eat me some brains!!!!!

    Zombies in love????

I agree with you. I don't need sissafied monsters. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Between Twilight and "Bieber fever" I am so glad I have a son!

Y'know, they handled a similar idea much more effectively in a short story called "Eat Me" that was part of an anthology back around 1989. At least as I remember it.

This sounds like the Simpson's episode where they watered down Itchy & Scratchy for being too violent.

I think I read that. It was an anthology of Dead stories based on Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead. There were short stories by a lot of big name authors, including Stephen King. I want to say it was Book of the Dead,(?).

Reading that reminded me of one of our favorite movies, Eat The Rich.

It's a bit of quirky British humor plus it stars Lemmy! You just can't go wrong with Lemmy!
