Yeah, the cameras are quite an improvement over the 3. The biggest difference that jumped out and hit me in the face was the super sharp retina display. I thought my old iphone looked good until I compared them side by side. The 4 has the clearest, sharpest, most color popping display of any phone I have seen. Made the 3 look like mud in comparison.

How's the speakerphone on your iPhone4?

I'm also hearing iPhone4 horror stories of dropped calls when handling the phone with your left hand.

Here's the issue...

Some iPhone 4 models dropping calls when held left-handed, including ours (Update: Apple responds) -- Engadget


Let me know...both about the speakerphone and that drop call problem...because I'm thinking of returning my Android for the iPhone.

The iPhone dropped call problem is real, but you're not really supposed to hold a cell phone up to your brain anyhow. . . .so, I'm not worried about it. Also, if you get a case for it, then it covers that antenna spot in the lower left corner, and can then hold the phone and speak left-handedly.

But...

I meant speakerphone as in conference calling. Do people understand you fine?

Have you yourself tested when they call you through the iPhone4 speakerphone?

That was my main question.

Hec, my speakerphone works flawlessly on my iphone, I use it quite often. I will have it lying on my desk next to my keyboard while I m typing and people can hear me fine and I hear them fine. That dropped call issue is a bunch of crap. I think maybe 10 people who live in the Adirondacks experienced it and consumer reports duplicated it under extreme duress. I have tried repeatedly to replicate the problem and have not been able to. My daughter confiscated my original iPhone 4 when she needed a phone and I tried a couple of others including a Dell Streak and a Motorola model. That lasted two weeks before I went running back to the AT&T store to get another iPhone. Best phone I have ever owned and I have had MANY!

I exchanged my htc Inspire for an iPhone3 GS...it was a lot cheaper than the new iPhone4...and was still very impressed.
