nowadays everything you drink except water is bad for you, so i say go out drinking what you like....shakes are some of the most fat'ning things you could drink and that's why I don't drink them that often, especially the McDondalds ones...

I'm addicted to coke and yes everyone knows it's not healthy but it won't kill ya, look at pro athletes they drink Gatorade and power-ade(which is the same company as what? COKE!! ) and go ahead and read the nutrition facts, it has a lot of sugar as well 12oz of coke has 39grams of sugar to Gatorades 21grams but Gatorade almost double the carbs so in other words it's the same crap

so i say drink what makes you happy.....and for me that's both Coke and Gatorade

Shakes are much more satisfying to me. The brain receptors are just asking for fat!

It's certainly a valid point that soda is lousy for you. Any nutritionist will tell you that. I know (from experience) that when I'm trying to lose weight, one of the most effective things I can do is cut out the soda, and I don't even drink that much of it to begin with.

But damn, I do crave the stuff. Coke and Mt. Dew being my drugs of choice. Oh, and cherry Crush.

I also love shakes, but don't drink them much with meals. Too filling.

Wow, what a passive-aggressive comment from you.

Well, news flash...we are all going to die anyway...no matter what you consume (or not)...you are going to join us all unto death...so please drop the mightier than thou attitude.
I didnt disrepect anyone here at all! People just get upset when they hear something, that they enjoy, may hurt them.Yes,we all are going to die,but some sooner than others ....The facts are..if you eat a healthy diet, thats nutritious, full of vitamins, you'll live much longer! If you eat junk (Garbage in,Garbage out) you'll get nutrient deficient and will eventually get disease and with ALL the processed foods we eat today, people are getting sick from mal-nutrition.I can argue this all day because I have studied and researched this stuff.I dont stick my nose up in the air when someone is warning me of something that just may be hurting me.(I say this in the fullest respect).

See Great Documentaries such as Food Matters,The Gerson Miracle, to even the documentary of the guy who ate at Mcdonald's only for 30 days and he almost died because of it.

I am aware of many things, and its my nature as a person to warn people.Take it or leave it...I am just trying to help, as there may be people who are unware that diet soda and regular soda cause alot of health problems

I never get sick why? because I educated myself on proper nutrition. Its not a holier than thou attitude.I value my life and want to live a long time and I know nutritious food keeps you from disease.

I havnt Drank a Soda in a year and half...and I feel so much better

I think I've had one milkshake in the past 20 years, so I'd have to say soda (or as we say up here, "pop"). Sorry, "Teemu", I go with diet though, as the choice is something that I know is bad for me (sugar, I'm diabetic) versus something that might be (no conclusive evidence about aspartame) but I just need a carbonated drink with my fast food. Moderation is the key though, so I even keep diet soda intake to a minimum.

    Hmmmm....

USED to be soda. (We call it "pop" up here ) But they stopped selling Jolt a while back, so now it's usually just water.

*sigh* I miss my Jolt. It came in blue!

Soda. I know it's bad for me, but I really like it. But everyone once in a while, I'm having a bad day, and I'll stop at McDonalds for a small fry and vanilla shake. The taste of the salt and the sweet dairy is a big treat.

Oh, and my answer is soda. On the rare occasion I get a shake, I treat it like a dessert.

If there's mocha flavored shake, I go for that. Otherwise it's soda.

People didn't die of cancer 100 years ago because they didn't live long enough. Most people were lucky to make it to forty before they were eaten by bears. Now that all of the bears are vegetarian, it's not an issue.

In other words, we know a liquid that will dissolve nails isn't healthy to drink, and it's quite obvious that we don't care. Fizz forever
