Shake or soda ?

I usually grab a soda. The only exception is when I go to Steak and Shake. If you go to a place named like that you better darn well get the shake. -
Considering everything being "poison" nowadays it's strange how modern man lives way longer than any of his predecessors.
I submit to you all ..... Soda must be a health drink

No kidding. Something is going to take you down sooner or later,it's just a matter of when. So in the mean time, enjoy life, don't worry about what's in what food that can kill you and play along with the little game. And with that,I'm going soda.Leave a comment:

Yo man...can you please stop this already?I am glad your aware....but I gave you one link...I dont have the time to do the research for everyone. As I said,There are thousands of links to studies on this artificial chemical poison...personally,I try to get people aware of this as much as I can,so they can get away from this addictive poison that indeed causes Health problems...anything chemical will always cause problems, because its man-made and its not Natural to consume.Even regular Soda will eventually kill you (high fructose corn syrup which cause heart disease) processed foods eventually kill
It's really killing the fun outta this thread.
We all appreciate your concern...you can always start a thread about the potential dangers of soda consumption on another thread...I'm sure your info will flow much more effectively there.
Thanks.Last edited by Hector; Mar 1, '11, 12:03 AM.Leave a comment:

Thank you.You just provided me with a link exactly like I knew you would--it's filled with loads of anecdotal evidence linking aspartame not only with cancer but with about every illness under the sun!
Show me a specific study from a reputable research organization--one that does not rely on anecdotal evidence--suggesting that normal use of aspartame causes cancer in human beings. Surely there must be one.
I'm not a stooge for Big Food Inc. or anything--in fact I rarely ingest foods with aspartame. In fact I am suspicious of it as a food additive myself. But I've always felt that the folks that say things like "Diet Coke causes cancer" need to back up such bold claims with specific and scientific evidence. I'd love to be made a believer!
Either answer the thread's question...soda or shake...or move one.
BTW...my answer is soda...I don't like shakes with food.Last edited by Hector; Mar 1, '11, 12:02 AM.Leave a comment:

I'm the same with "Throwback" Pepsi and Mountain Dew. Cane sugar has been out of the norm so long it seems strange to taste it.Leave a comment:

Soda. On work days, I usually hit a drive-through and eat lunch in my car with the radio & newspaper. I can keep a 12-pack of whatever on hand and save about $1 per day.
Exceptions: When it's hot, a fountain Coke from McD's can't be beat. Also, I'll occasionally get a Frosty from Wendy's.Leave a comment:

Now as for soda being bad for you-well yes, that's correct! It is bad for your teeth like all sugary foods & drinks and Mythbusters demonstrated how Coke polishes chrome bumpers better than real polish. Coffee is bad for you and so is alcohol, red meat and raw fish. However, no one is trying to say replace breathing with soda! All things in moderation. And ScottA, so sorry I couldn't just answer soda or shake.
