Notable Stars Left Out of Oscars In Memoriam Montage

I recall the year Patrick McGoohan died he was left out of the Oscar's In Memoriam Montage, (notable for Ice Station Zebra, Time to Kill and Braveheart). Farrah Fawcett was also left out the year she died, (but Michael Jackson may have been included?). Last night I saw a number of people included like a guy listed as an Agent. Should he really have been in the segment when these actors were not? Robert Culp was included tho he is better known for his TV work such as I,Spy, GAH and The Outer Limits.

Peter Graves - While well known for Mission Impossible, Graves had starred in movies before that and was in Airplane & Airplane II.

Corey Haim - Lucas, License to Drive and of course, The Lost Boys.

Lisa Blount - most recognized for Debra Winger's best friend in An Officer and a Gentleman, was also in John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness.

Betty Garrett - On The Town and Take Me Out to the Ballgame but better known as Edna Babish DeFazio, Laverne's step-mom on Laverne & Shirley.

Shameful. I personally knew Haim - and despite what I think of him because of the opportunities he screwed up, and the way he shortened his own life - he was a genuine movie star. This is just shameful.

Maury Chaykin was a favorite of mine who was ignored too. A great character actor who was in at least 50 movies - including a few Oscar winners. What a sad bunch of jerks.

Wow...had no idea she had died...wow.

She and her husband Ray McKinnon (the coach from the movie Blind Side)...had both won an Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film back in 2001...so she did have success after playing Debra Winger's best friend in An Office and a Gentleman...

So it's even more absurd the Academy ignored her in the memoriam segment...despite her actually WINNING an Oscar...

      ...unfrigginunbelievable...
