Does anyone know or have any info on KKB toys?

Husband and wife toy dealer out of Vermont; Kenny and Kaye Blapka. They just ripped off a very good friend of mine for over 2 grand. Long, but very sad story... I was wondering if anyone here had ANYTHING on these people. I can't find a single thing on line and the contact info my buddy has for them is all either bogus or disconnected. Their website no longer exists either...

This guy is a dear friend of mine, who I've known for most of my life and was buying a small Star Wars and Mego figure collection for his autistic son Peter, who just turned 10 years old and is a huge Star Wars and superhero fan. I'm on a personal mission to find these people and either get the figures or the money back.

I'm so angry right now, I can't even see straight. Please PM me immediately if anyone has even the slightest shred of info or intel on these people.

    Thanks everyone.

perhaps contact the tax office for Vermont? If they were a legit business they might have some info there.

WHOSIT... I think that's the name. If you have there old website address you should be able to find the last registered owners info.

      Hope that helps.

I regret to hear of the bad news. They can run but they will not be able to hide forever. Sooner or later a good lead will appear and give them away.

Usually when scammers do this type of thing they continue to do it to others as well. It starts to become so easy for them that they will eventually make a simple mistake. Give them enough rope and they will hang themselves.

Best of luck to you and your friend on resolving this issue.

Are you sure you have their names spelled correctly? I checked a few sites that would surely turn up something but they didn't. If they had a brick and mortars store, definitely check with the Vermont department of revenue or taxation (whatever they call it) and request a copy of their business license. This will at least give you a lead but I do find it strange that I can't find anything on the net about them which is almost impossible these days.

^ Agreed. Until signing-up here, I had NO idea as to the AMOUNT of toy-theft that goes on...wow....firearms, hot electronics, narcotics, hot cars - SURE, but TOYS? What a sleazy and low-life road to take...

That was the spelling I was given, but who knows if it's even real. When my buddy first told me the names, I kinda raised an eyebrow and thought it sounded weird, almost made up... I mean; Kenny and Kaye Blaapka??? I dunno... Real name or not, these people obviously have a deathwish if they're ripping people off for this kind of money.

This kind of stuff just boils my blood. Ripping off ANYONE is a terrible thing, but when the toys were for an autistic kid??? These people have no heart. No soul. My friend was literally in tears when he was telling me the story. He even said that in the correspondence with them when they made the deal, that he mentioned the figures were for his autistic son.

How did your friend make payment? Wouldnt there be a way to track them that way unless he sent them cash wich I highly doubt is the case.

You might be able to conduct a search on the address where the check was mailed. If it was to their home; you should be able to conduct a property search in Vermont right from your computer. Scumbags like this prey on people all of the time and it especially sickens me when it is someone who is sick and basically looking for something, anything that might work. If a check was sent all you have to do is find out where it was cashed (Call your bank they will know)and then find out who cashed it. Most places check ID's if you dont have an account and every place I know of that cashes checks have camera's.

One other thing I just thought about. If the check was mailed and cashed....they just committed mail fraud so you could possibly have the investigative arm of the post office looking into this as well.
