My stuff is not organic-looking...it's more like straightforward caricatures and illustrations...kinda flat and clinical.

Thanks Hector....thats a big help. I will look threw the programs and info you gave me.
I appreciate it. I been thinking of taking a class..but I wasn't sure what to even take.
If I knew what was going on I see jobs all the time for graphic artist in the city but I'm not familiar with the programs. It would be nice to get a job doing that and not concrete. This is motivational. Thanks Hector

You can probably get a tablet cheap on ebay. You're too talented to waste your time with crap tools. It'll be the best investment you ever made if you enjoy making art on the computer.

              That's right, Scott...

Capn'...Scott is so right...invest on a decent tablet...doesn't have to be the latest Wacom...the older generations like the Wacoms Intuos3 & Intuos 2 are great...so is the very affordable Wacom Bamboo series...can be had on the cheap, $100-$300 price range...well worth the price...you'll LOVE having one...trust me...

They come in small, medium, large, and X large sizes.

Go with the medium...it's the most popular size....and to me...feels just right.

Well, Scott is miles ahead of me...but I've been drawing since I was a teen...but didn't get into digital drawing and painting until about four years ago.

I earned an A.S. in Graphic Arts in two years.

I even managed to beat my much younger competition...and had two of my art covers published on the cover of the college's Literature book for two successive years, first time in school history...

If I did it in my mid 40s...you can certainly do it too.

                    You GOTS skillz, bro...

Just between you and me...the Wacom Intuos4 Medium rocks, my man...it's awesome....the best bang for the buck.

The Bamboo series are much more affordable...perhaps that one would suit you.

The Cintiq is out of this world...but they are super expensive...the little one is a grand...and the large one is $2000...too much dinero...
