Thanks for the kind words on the painting,,,,Yeah drawing with a mouse sucks. It takes a long time with lots of mess ups and you can never really achieve what your driving for really. I been waiting for the pens to become cheep enough for me to buy.

What program is that...Photoshop, Painter 11?

I mostly work with Illustrator...and just about all my stuff has been done only by the mouse as well. I just bought Painter 11...but I have to learn it first.

It's very time consuming...but it's great if you can freehand draw your stuff...then scan it...then transfer it to your drawing program of choice...and trace it with your mouse...that's how I do it.

I recently bought a Wacom Intuos4 tablet...I'm still getting used to it...but once I master it...I'll be drawing much more organically...the drawings will flow much smoother.

Having said that...you can't beat the mouse for technical drawing...you have much better control and accuracy using the mouse...it works well for inanimate objects as well.

A combination of both mouse...and freehand via tablet...will do wonders.

I don't know if Amazon is still offering it...but they were selling a medium size Wacom Intuos4 tablet and the full Painter 11 program bundle for only $399...that was a great bargain.

Hector thats it,,sketch then scan then the mouse of slow death and no control..lol
Your right this leaves is less than organic and I have to keep it somewhat simple.
It is a bummer ,,, I'm sure I could do much more if I had better programs and knew how to use them.
The program I have is one that came with a walmart lexmark printer years ago.
So its nothing special at all. If I could get someone to sit down with me for even just a day and run threw it I could do more.
But theres no one here that can show me. I am too stupid to read and get it. I learn best hands on. I'm quick that way stupid the other. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a nearby community college that teaches graphic arts/design?

Take a course...something like Illustrator...since you are an artist already...you'll pick it up quick...I highly recommend that route.
