Tebow should have Heisman locked up, but..

Will he win it? Will 3 loses and being a sophamore stop him. I hope not because no one has had a better year than him. What he has done this year is remarkable. "Why no T-bone"

He's had an incredible year but honestly I think being a sophamore might hurt him more than anything else.

He's been up and down like every other Heisman hopeful. If not, they would be in contention again for another national championship.

Next year will be his heisman year - count on it.

Not to sound biased (even though I am), but if you are giving it to the best college football player in America, Darren McFadden is your choice. He and Felix Jones are the only reason Arkansas is 7-4.

And if they somehow beat LSU next week OR if he has a great outing even in a loss, he will win the heisman.

Tebow has not been up and down. He has the highest pass eff in football has passed for 26 tds and rushed for 20 (a first in div 1 history) Broke the Sec record for rushing td's for all players, and is 2 rushing td's short of the ncaa record for most td's by a QB. Only reason Florida in not playing for a NC this year is becuase they lost 9 starters of defense this year.

Sorry but McFadden hasn't come on until late in the season. Up until 3 weeks ago he was all but forgotten.

my vote would go to Dorsey from LSU--who says a defensive player can't win?

If I had a vote, Tebow would get it. His 20/20 TD record is unbelievable. If it wasn't for him, FLA would be a .500 team, he carried that team this year (I mean that in a good way). I also think him being a sophomore will hurt his chances.

Dorsey is one of the best football players in college and is the best defensive player in college, but teams have shut him down this year by double teaming him. He says he has no problem with that because if they have to double team him, it frees up another LSU player. He is one of the greatest guys and most humble person around.

I agree, and there is no way he is winning (I think he only has 1 or 2 sacks this year) but I have watched quite a few LSU games, and the guy is the most dominant player that I have seen this year. Sometimes they have 3 guys on him.

Up and down for Tebow was too strong. He had some mediocre games (LSU, Auburn) but he has been pretty consistent otherwise.

McFadden has not just come on late - he has been solid all season. His problem is he is a great player on a mediocre team.

                    McFadden's numbers:

Ok, I'll give you that he's had a better season that I had thought but it's still not like last year and maybe people expected more of that. Arkansas doesn't get the TV time either and that does play into things. Honestly I'd say it'll go to either Dennis Dixon or Tebow. Now where he'll go in the draft is another story.

You are exactly right in everything you wrote. He is super good, but he has not lived up to expectations - and that's partially because he cannot carry an entire team.

However, IF he lights LSU up (which is the day after Thanksgiving and will be nationally televised), he will wrap up the Heisman. Remember, he ran for over 300 yards on a Steve Spurrier coached team.

                        BIG IF though...
