it's being hailed as a prequel but really it is a restart....new idea on how the apes come to rule the planet. apes will be CGI. I am reserving judgement on that until I see some pictures or trailers showing how they look.....either way I do look forward to a new apes movie

I'm not keen on CGI apes. The one good thing about the Burton apes was the phenomenal Rick Baker apes make up.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yeah! Those make-ups were impressive! The film itself... not great.

I liked Burtons version....not as good as the originals but a decent movie in it's own right

                        Conquest?
I hope they crank UP the violence and Nihilism!
                        Apocolypse movies are fasionable.

                        ( and I love conquest)

For true POTA fans this wont be want we want. For hollywood is will likely be huge. I say they should pick up where Battle of the Planet of the apes left off. And I mentioned this many times, but how could they not have gave us a finale to the POTA tv show.
