I was discussing Underdog with a friend of mine and he posed the question:What kind of song is the Underdog theme? After some mulling over I think Underdog is a song in the tradition of old westerns/the lonely gunslinger but humorous. The lyrics are not specific to superheroes and could just as well be a western. You could put Underdog next to Mel Brooks's Blazing Saddles for example. Any thoughts?
