I'd love to attend, dont get me wrong. I love sci-fi, superhero, and monstery stuff and I'm sure I'd have a BLAST getting the studio tour from Sandy, but I cant leave here for that long, nor can I afford it.
(I'm a caterer, so I'm pretty much 'on call', and with my wife's job and the dogs...just not possible to go that far away..)

But you Cali folks ENJOY though - have some drinks and sights for me!

News brief...."Gigantic NY man found DEAD floating in the bay near the Huntington Beach area...death is attributed to alcohol poisoning...Witnesses say the man appeared lumbering on the beach, heavily intoxicated, and mumbling something about 'film studios' and 'Colloras'......Complaints from the locals of an 'amorous sea turtle' led police to investigate...."I didnt even KNOW that manatees LIVED this in this part of the bay, let alone that they wore swim trunks!" - Said one bewildered tourist....No more at this time.."

I've been checking air fare / hotel combos and I've been amazed that it is going to be pretty cheap for me to make it out.

I'm going to wait to pull the trigger until Sandy posts a list of hotels. I found one that is only about a mile and half from his Studio and if that particular establishment ain't too skanky, I'll probably stay there as it is close-by. (operative qualifier being "too". I can deal with "trashy" and "unsafe" as long as it is only moderately so. Actually, I'm guessing any place in the area is probably alright, but it's always nice to get the "okay" from someone who is local.)
