Oh is that cute! Is that a Lhasa Apso? I love Lhasas and had 2 that were wonderful friends. Wanted another when my last one (Ginner-RIP) died at age 14 but Maggy wanted a bigger dog as she grew up with Danes since her folks used to breed them. We ended up with our black Lab as a compromise.

She's a Shih Tzu from the Humane Society. We adopted her when Katrina was plowing thru New Orleans. The local shelters were going to need space for dogs from there, so they had a article in the papers about clearing some space.

Bless you for adopting her!
Shih Tzus and Lhasas have similar faces. It's not the first time I've made that mistake.
She looks a lot like my first Lhasa, Lady. She was an abused stray found wandering around in a field. She tried to bite me when I first met her but after a short time she became my constant companion especially since I was young (early 20s) and single back then. She was the one that created my love for Lhasas. My Dad used to call her a lopsided Apso!
I still miss her even though she's been gone for almost 20 years now.

Thanks, Brad. Weve adopted 5, still have four our first, Baron the terrier has gone to the backyard in the sky. Only one we ever bought as a pup was Sammy the schnauzer.
