    Hardcore Pawn on Tru TV

    Disgusting garbage...nothing but ghetto crap...

...it makes Pawn Stars look like the Vienna Boys' Choir.

Not educational, no historical fun facts, no cool stuff...mostly pawned stuff from lowlives on constant argumentative and bickering mode...the head pawn honcho looks like gangster as well...kinda like part of the Gambino family or something.

This thread was posted as a warning...I just wasted half an hour of my life...stay away from this cesspool of a show...

Totally agree...my Tivo recorded an episode so out of curiosity I watched it. Lasted about five minutes and had to delete it. Waste of time and Tivo space.

But if you've ever been to Detroit, you would know the show fits right in.I agree the people on it are weird. But you have to laugh at someone pawing their microwave for only 5 bucks.

Just watched some of it on youtube

If it's a series I don't think it will last because there's no likeable people in it.

I'm sure it's more realistic than Pawn Stars but it's not as entertaining

          I wouldn't watch it again.

            Hmmmm....

How you guys feel about this one is how I feel about ALL shows like this. It bothers me that the misery and ******ry of "real" people is sold as entertainment. 'Course, this one IS particularly bad....

I always thought of pawn stores in particular as a bit sleazy until I saw Pawn Stars. They classed the image up a bit with all of the historical and unique items. After seeing this one it kind of puts the sleaze factor back into it. UGH!

Sleazy is a good way to describe the atmosphere. Perhaps, a bit seedy, too.

Just watched a full complete episode on TV.

Man, it really makes you not want to go to a pawn shop

I really have nothing good to say about it.

There's literally no likable people on the show --- and the people who come in to sell are just as bad or worse.

I kind of feel dirty after watching it.

I hate to say it but that's actually how most pawn shops are in real life, I use to go all the time to buy dvd's and cd's and man they use to jip people dirty.....I use to see poor people pawning their tvs and gold for almost nothing and then the ****** would turn around a month later and list it for 6 times as much....it was this real scumbag that you just felt like breaking his face

I finally caught a viewing of the show last night....it won't be on for long. The son prodigy is a real piece of work. He threatens, uses scare tactics, etc. to his customers. Some poor woman had to use the restroom and he basically said "no public restroom". She obviously was upset as she was waiting in a line to make a payment on a loan for about 45 minutes. When she got upset, he basically told her that she wasn't welcome in the shop anymore. Good grief, I understand that they are doing it for theft concerns but how difficult and expensive would it be to think....maybe set up a porta-potty or outside restroom for their customers to use if there are theft concerns?
