That looked like a textbook example of a brain seizure. Something appeared to interrupt the electrical activity in the speech portion of her brain. You could tell by watching her, she was still aware what was happening, but unable to stop it. I feel bad for her. Hopefully that was just a one time event.Comment

She appears to be ok right now.----
CBS 2 later stated on their website she will be seeing a doctor for follow-up tests, and "Serene thanks everyone for their concern and good wishes and hopes to be back on the air very soon."
Branson received two Emmy nominations and previously worked as a journalist for KCAL 9 in Sacramento.
"Sending my best to Serene Branson that she's ok," wrote Kim Baldonado, an NBC 4 News reporter in Los Angeles, via Twitter. "It doesn't sound like it's anything to laugh about."
Theories regarding what exactly happened to Branson have spread throughout the Internet based upon her on-air behavior. Although many have suggested she suffered a mini-stroke, others have indicated it could have been temporary aphasia, which can affect speech. She may also have suffered a transient ischemic attack (TIA), which mimics the symptoms of a stroke and lasts a brief period of time.
