MP3 Download Sites

Anyone got any good recommendations for a free non-complicated site to download music to an MP3 player?

Since Limewire went away... I don't know of any... maybe some torrent site, I don't know.

Here's what I do...

Cool edit Pro 2.0 ( I think you can download it for free these days)- Open - set windows recording mixer to "Stereo Mix" or "what you hear"

Go to playlist.com - search for song - once found go back to Cool Edit start recording - go back to playlist.com and play track....

When song ends stop record in Cool Edit... save as an mp3... go back and edit dead space at front and tail. Save.

Done.

May seem a little complicated and you do have to record the tunes in real time BUT you never have to worry about dowloading a virus in this process.

Like I said, this is what I do when needing a particular song or aqny sound for that matter.

I've HEARD that some people use Newsgroups...

Don't ask me about any details, but that's what I HEARD...

After a minute or 2 of research via a google search... I found multiple posts like this:

Trust me this program has spyware and adware and all the junk you can imagine. It will slow down your internet connection. If you don’t believe me, just make hidden files visible go to Documents&Settings–’Current Username’–Application Data–and see a Folder with the name PriceGong!!!How beautifully this piece of junk adds this adware program…PriceGong just google it..and that doesnt end there. Even if you uninstall it,,still you have junk in your registry..you can’t imagine the mess i’ve found in the registry. The PriceGong folder and all the junk will be there even after uninstalling. I always kept my pc clean..and have many just as about anyone has..I installed this piece of junk just on one of them to test it…it was clear from the beginning that this stupid program is malware…From the installation interface, the uninstallation interface and lots of others stuff anyone experienced can understand that. I am writing this for those that are not.

I would not touch that freecorder program with a 30 foot cattle-prod gents.

There's something on the toolbar I've got for something called BeeMP3. This is under the music heading and YouTube is under video so I'm guessing it's free,not really sure.

Real player... it will allow you download video's from say youtube and then convert the into mp3's. Very simply and very safe. Duh, on my part. I can't believe I almost forgot this one.

Use Downloadhelper which is an add on for the Firefox browser. You can grab video and audio from nearly any site and convert it to a number of different formats. I download a lot of music videos using this program and then I use another free program that rips the MP3 from the video file. I use it quite a lot and it rocks!!!!!

I have used BeeMP3 on a couple of occasions. For the most part I have always found what I was looking for and it was FREE.
