Been sick for the last 4 days...

...Actually 3 days. Took today as a precaution. Wanted to make sure I was 100% before I go back to work. I work in a warehouse that is basically colder than it is outside the building. Anyway, because there is absolutely nothing on TV during the day, I finally broke down and started going through all the stuff I taped over the last 20 years. It's a lot of stuff too. 1st tape I pick started off with a Nightline from 1995. It was about older musicians/singers that basically got screwed by the record labels. Very interesting...Sam Moore and Ruth Brown finally get some sort of compensation from the record companies. I think both have passed since the taping of the show. Next on the tape I was surprised that I even taped this...A&E's Biography Stan Lee. Very cool to see. The last on the ape was MTV Unplugged that I knew I had...but didn't realize Bruce Springsteen was on...MTV Unplugged with Melissa Etheridge. I have to say thanks to my Bro for giving me my first listen to Melissa Etheridge. He bought the LP when it first came out...when no one knew who she was. Man, this is what music is missing. Someone that has passion when they sing...not for effect...just genuine PASSION. Springsteen does a duet with her on Thunder Road which is just incredible.

Anyway, there's about 100+ tapes to go through. One of which is Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary Concert with Led Zep Re-union. Maybe I'll get some time when this season's shows are done...Lord knows my Mets aren't going anywhere this year

Went back to work today. Still a little bit of congestion. No fever though...and that's what I am most happy about. I had the worst fever I've ever had in my life on Saturday 101.9. Never had it that high. Could barely stand up. Slept basically the whole day.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. This thing/cold starts with sore throat and just escalates very fast from there...less than half a day and I was at 100 degree fever. So everyone be careful out there. I can honestly say I was scared on Saturday...not being able to stand or stay awake was very scary. This thing SUCKS the energy right out of you.

Take care and take it easy Berto. Would probably be pretty easy to take it all over again.

Glad your feeling better. I had the same thing recently and I know how much bad it is. Suddenly nothing, absolutely nothing matters other than "when will I get better?"

Dude, you just described what I had three weeks ago. It started out with a diminished appetite and a slight cough. Then, six hours later, I was in bed with a 102 degree temperature. I slept for 18 hours straight. I was actually delerious. When I got up the one time to use the bathroom, I ducked under an imaginary clothesline in the hallway.

Then, 24 hours later I'm fine, no symptoms except fatigue. Kicked my butt big time.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Glad you are feeling better. I wonder if it is just that we are all getting older and these things bother us more or if all of the colds and flu bugs, etc are worse than when we were younger? I remember back in my theatre days having a fever of 103, aches & pains, and I still went on stage and did my show. Now my temp goes up to 99 and I'm ready to call it a day and stay in a fetal position for awhile.
                    It's all good!
