I can't see them putting him in jail for lying.

A normal person--- yea, without a doubt.

      But not a celeb.

      He'll get off.

Too bad they didn't go after him prior to his breaking the all-time homerun record. I hated to see Hank Aaron lose it to this jerk.

He could be stripped of the title, never make it into the HOF.

He's going to be their big game trophy. Dozens, hundreds of MLB players went before him. McGuire will never pay the price. Giambi didn't. The people who supplied him with the drugs got off relatively easy. The owners and league who profited from him knew what was up and did nothing.

He's a jerk and he cheated, and I lost my passion for the Giants when I realized what a fraud I was rooting for, but I don't see justice being done here at all.

It's about time. The best thing that can come of this is when that absolutely bogus "record" gets stripped from the books. The really sad part about his career is that he was a great player without the juice. Idiot.

he'll probably get off with some community service or public service announcement assignments. let's see if the feds can nail this one down! with all the investigating they've supposedly been doing, they should have enough to bury bonds!

This is a weak indictment to justify 4 years of investigation. Whether he gets an asterisk by his record, I couldn't care less, but this is stupid, and I hope he gets off quickly. It annoys the crap out of me that our government has wasted so much of my taxpayer money for something his employer (MLB) should have been more concerned and diligent about ages ago.

I completely agree. I don't like him, but they're never going to go after these other guys with the vigor they've pursued Bonds with. It almost (I repeat almost) makes you feel sorry for him.

I agree that the govt has better things to do...by far. They got involved due to the structure of MLB. Too much strength on the players union side, and note enough onions on the pathetic commisioner. Selig=USED CAR SALESMAN. Bonds should never be in HOF, should have numbers stricken, but how can we forget that this guy was one of the 5-10 best position players to ever play BEFORE he hit the juice. What a mess.
