    Another piece of my childhood

    Hi guys,

I found this little goodie on YouTube this morning:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGSWwuxvsXI

There was a Buster Brown store 2 blocks from me in NYC. Every year through grade school, they would show ads for the new shoes for back to school, and every year, my mom and I would go and buy whatever shoes I begged for. I had the Topsies in this ad. (I was in the 2nd grade).

Did any of you wear Buster Brown when you were kids?

I know there was a balloon, (but they gave you a balloon every time you bought kids shoes anyway). I can't remember what else was in that bag, but I know I had one.

I remember I got these tennis shows that were brown with blue suede with gold/brown laces. The store near us in Maryland usually had those little half-sheet sized rub-on transfers. One time it was like a generic street scene I do recall.
          It's all good!
