I don't care. I would eat Taco Bell for a week if I could. We don't have it here in Mexico...

        Taco Bell in Mexico...not a good idea...lol.

Why have Taco Bell when you can have killer tacos al pastor.

They have indeed attempted Taco Bells down there...but they have failed miserably...they all closed within two years of opening (Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey).

Come on...it would be like opening a Pizza Hut in Italy...bad idea...

P.S. Don't get me wrong, I dig Taco Bell once in a while...but to be honest with you...their entire menu tastes the same...no matter what shape the food comes in, tacos, nachos, burritos, quesadillas, etc...it all tastes the same (good taste, but the same)...lol.

BTW...once in a while...I make Taco Bell tacos at home...pretty easy and fun...great for guests...I can make fifty tacos in half an hour for a fraction of the price...lol.

Oh...and one last thing...I'm not being biased because I'm of Mexican ancestry...while I prefer real Mexican tacos over Taco Bell...the American burger is still king in my book...treat me to a double cheesburger with bacon...and I'm there, baby...lol.

The only Taco Bell around here is an "express" in a Truck Stop ... and it's pretty lousy.

The closest one to me is a dine-in Taco Bell / KFC.

I'm an American living close to Monterray...Those Al Pastor tacos are still kicking man!

No but seriously I get concerned eating at the taco joints here in Mexico because of sanitation. I didn't know there had Taco Bells before here in Mexico! In my town they also closed Whataburger, Popeye's, and Starbucks. I guess the Mexicans don't understand them.

Anytime I ever go to a REAL Mexican restaurant and order tacos the meat is always in chunks (like beef stew meat) rather than ground hamburger.

Is that a real Mexican taco thing, or just a choice by a few local restaurants ?

My wife Maggy always told me not to eat at Taco Bell because of the meat being sub standard so I have stayed away from eating there. Ironically Maggy got a to go order from Taco Bell last year (she travels quite a lot for her job as a social worker for foster children so she often has to eat on the road) and sure enough she got sick as a dog after eating it. She has never had Taco Bell since then.

We have a few Taco Johns in our area which I think is a local chain. Their food is far superior to Taco Bell so that is where we go when we want Mexican fast food.

I don't go often, 'cos there isn't one close to me, but when I do go, I like to get 3 crunchy taco supremes, and a carmel apple empenada.

Worked at Taco Bell for ten years....long enough to see the food change and keep me away. When I started in 1985 everything was prepped fresh....now everything is made somewhere else and poured out of a heated plastic bag. THe beans look like corn flakes, that are heated with hot water, the meat is in a frozen bag that is boiled in a stock pot, lettuce is pre cut, bagged, and re hydrated at the restaurant...cheese, onions, tomatos, all arrive in a bag. THis cuts down on man hours prepping food, and flows money to the bottom line......but the food sucks now. THey killed the green sauce when they brought in the quesadilla green sauce...big mistake. I'd rather eat at the Green Burrito, or De Taco Now. Food is far superior in taste and quality. I keep waiting for Taco Bell to realize its mistake and make some quality changes....but people keep eating the crap.

Taco John's is the best Amerexican food I've ever had. Makes the Bell seem like Alpo. I don't have any in Ohio I know of, but they know how to do it right. It's a little costlier, but easilt ten times better.

They do offer ground beef...next time...ask for picadillo or albondigas...you'll see.

However...carne asada (grilled cut up steak)...is still king in Mexico.
