Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch ("Whew."). I prefer him slightly to Jeremy Brett, who was great in the role. I also love Rathbone, but the different periods almost make it an apples/oranges comparison.

I know some might not count this, but I always liked Nicholas Rowe in Young Sherlock Holmes.

Is this just for visual? There are Holmes episodes on classic radio, will have to listen for the names there. If anyone has sattelite radio check out the radio classics, some great SH, Green hornet, Superman episodes on there.
