Do you tell your kids about when you were a kid?

    When I was a kid....

If it was too cold to go out on Sundays, my mom and I would sit around, drink chocolate milk, and she would tell me stories about when she was a kid. I learned all about her mean grandma, Haddley Park in Boston (which I thought was the greatest place on Earth to hear her tell it), and the radio shows she loved like The Shadow, (which is why I'm into them now). Now while I don't have any kids, I often tell my kids (both the older ones, and my pre-schoolers), about when I was little. They've heard about my foster sister, the way my brothers teased me, (and sometimes used me to pick up girls), the toys I played w/ and the fun I had.

I miss those talks w/ my mom, but she'll always be alive as long as I can share memories of her.

Did you guys share stories of your childhood w/ your kids?

I think I may have a few kids, not exactly sure. But I did have the greatest Grandpa of alltime & he did tell us stories like that. All of us kids, cousins etc loved him.

I love telling my two kids stories about when my brothers and I grew up. The things we did, how we acted, how much trouble we got into sometimes. I tell stories about my grandparents and how much fun we had staying summers at thier house. Without the stories they would never know about the family members that have passed away. I think it is important to let them hear and experience, in some way, how we grew up and the things that make us who we are today.

Kyrian's way too young (3.5 months ) right now, but I will when he's older

I tell some stories about birthday parties, fun I had with my grandparents, trips i took with family, and getting toys and stuff. Not until they are older will I tell the stories about climbing trees and jumping off a moving train. You know the stupid stuff that I'm lucky to be alive.
              It's all good!

Well I don't have kids yet. I always tell my younger coworkers how it was when I was younger.
