    Flip Wilson marathon on TVOne

Any Flip fans out there? I remember Thursday night when I was little watching this w/ my family. I did get a lot of eps on tape when TVLand was running them. I'm sitting here cracking up to Geraldine and Joe Namath. "What you see is what you get!"
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I used to watch that too.

For years, I thought that Geraldine was an actual person, not Flip in a dress and blonde wig.

He played the part so well it was astonishing!

I remember that there was a cartoon that Flip voiced, back in the 70's, about his alter ego Leroy, who was split up from his family, and placed in a foster home, where the mom, dad and kid were morbidly obese, and the other foster kids were practically starved and kept in rags.

Amazing the kind of stuff that stays in our little bitty heads, isn't it?

I was really in to Flip when I was a kid...I'm afraid it wouldn't hold up as well today though for me...
