I liked some B&B, the movie was particularly funny, I thought. I wasn't happy about how young metal guys (which I was at the time) were suddenly being generalised as being a bunch of Beavis and Buttheads, which wasn't true......oh yes, some defintely do exists, I've known 'em, lol. But it certainly didn't represent or reflect the majority of people I knew and hung out with. But alot of people thought it did. And what was with these supposed "metal" kids always making fun of metal videos, and yet they'd praise and dance along with the rap videos they watched?? Hmm, a bit of an agenda going on there?

At least shows like "Metalocalypse" get it more right, and have a much more fun, over the top way of poking fun at ourselves (i.e. metal fans/musicians). I just felt like B&B were just yet another shady tool of MTV trying to dictate to young watchers about what is cool and acceptable, and what isn't.

Plus that era of the early 1990s when those shows started becoming the rage signals the end of MTV being a "music network", which bummed me out. I miss the days of shows like 120 minutes, Headbangers Ball, Basement Tapes, and the special concerts they'd show on Saturday nights in the 1980s.
