    Anybody watching Brad Meltzer's Decoded?

It's a pretty interesting show airing on the History channel. I wanted to watch it but never got around to it until the last few weeks and have watched most of the episodes on demand.

Some of the more interesting shows were regarding the gold and silver taken from Jefferson Davis after the Civil war, apparently buried all over the place, with hidden symbols carved in trees and other places that someone has sort of figured out what they mean through trial and error and has found some of the buried treasure. Secret Societies featuring Bohemian Grove in California which apparently is a top secret 2 week retreat which influential people meet, D.B. Cooper, the 1970's Northwest hijaking that has gone unsolved but apparently, high evidence points to one person, to name a few.

I understand that his book are not that great (I haven't read any) and also understand that he has done quite a bit of comic book writing including Green Arrow, Identity Crisis, JLA, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (but haven't read any of these either).

His show sounds really neat. I'll scour the internet when I get home and see if it streams online.

Meltzer's novels and comics are awesome, by the way. I highly recommend them.

I have seen one or two episodes. Depending on the topic, it has been pretty interesting.

I watched a few. I had DB Cooper on twice and that looked pretty well-done. I watched most of the Bohemian Grove and Statue of Liberty/Illuminati episode and decided some of the stuff is just a stretch and I HATE spending an hour on some topic and then getting "Oh, well. No way to know."

Star Trek the Next Generation used to do that, build up something for 50mins and then go "Oh well."

I hate that if it makes any sense. Bohemian Grove was an example as I recall but the Illuminati/Statue of Liberty one was worse I thought. They had all this evidence and then decided that it wasn't conclusive or didn't comment on it to my satisfaction.

Ancient Aliens does some of that too. Shows something "incredible" and then has no opinion one way or another. But some of what both shows present for consideration is pretty interesting.

I actually like Ancient Aliens better, while they cannot prove anything... I love to see what they come up with as possible evidence.

              They can too prove stuff!

I thought they proved one of the rock formations in England made a right triangle etc and used the Pythagorean theorem, I think that was Mysterious Places episode.

They can't prove Aliens did it, but they can prove that the rocks are in that formation.

And they mentioned that to build the Pyramids or Great Pyramid that you'd have to quarry, transport and set a stone in place every 10 seconds. I assume that was simple math using the time we thought it took to build them divided by the number of stones.

So I think they can prove stuff, but not that Aliens were involved...

I like some of what they show. My son had never heard of Ed Leedskalnin's Coral Castle but I saw it on In Search Of... in the 70s. Great show!

I thought I had seen a lot of this before like Puma-Punku (Ancient Mysteries - Puma Punku in Tiahuanaco) but they have had stuff on there once or twice that I have never heard of and it is absolutely fascinating to see that it even exists. So I guess by going there and showing it, they prove it exists.

I really like Ancient Aliens but off and on, they make some argument that is just an absolute STRETCH of the imagination or a LEAP of logic that just can't be supported.

Can't wait to see the next 13 or so shows coming up as Season 3. My DVR is getting Full. I have all of them save and I need to get a burner and get them off.
