I'd be lost without my snow blower. We have a few older folks on the block so I dig half my block out. I'd be in the hospital if I tried to shovel all of that.

      At Least!!!

I shoveled last night until 8PM, then this morning until 12 PM...I've been shopping for a snow blower since just before X-Mas...lookin' for a gas blower (not those 1/2 gas, 1/2 oil things)...and they are just sold out...unless you want one of those industrial ones that cost a fortune and blow snow the length of a football field.

I know what you mean, I tried to shovel in layers but I pulled something for sure.
And this was a heavy, wet snow that we just got. I'm in Maryland, so we've been spared most of this winter, so far, but the snow that came in yesterday, was a pretty good one. I have a buddy who had to drive 20 miles to get home, left from the Baltimore area at 3:30 pm and didn't get home until 12:30 am in the morning. Traffic was awful. My legs and arms feel like I just played in a football game from all of my shoveling today.
            It's all good!

GUys , guys ,guys.... we only get blasted like this every few years. if you live in the north you have to remember that. that said my brother plows for a living and still can't keep my dad's house cleared of snow in front of the garage.

I was going to go to the zoo today but it's snowing. I don't mind, I like watching the snow from inside the warm house, I find it really pretty and relaxing.

this is the worst winter in the northeast since like 95-96. I went on the roof today to clear the snow because the ice dams are out of control, no damage inside yet and I'd like to keep it that way. Spent about 2 hours and worked up one hell of a sweat. almost slipped off once too. tomorrow I have to do something about the ice in the gutters and the upper roof, which I would prefer not to go on at all as it is over 30 feet up.

Had 4" of snow and Ice that lasted 5 days starting on January 9, Temps below freezing and in the teens for a week. Today was 65 and we were in shorts raking up leaves!
