    Ebay Shipping Question/Dilema

    Hey,
OK, here is another Ebay quandry. I purchased two Ring Giants from a seller in England. For those who have no idea, these are overexaggerated WWE wrestling figures that are about 14" tall and representations of current wrestling stars. I collect them loose - cheaper in the long run and the packaging is pretty lame.
Anyway, I got a great deal on the two figures - listed as slightly used. I paid a fair shipping charge for the two figures shipped together, and expected quite a delay in them getting here.
OK, so fast forward to yesterday. I get a plastic bag wrapped in brown packing tape on my front step. The two figures had been '69'd' together, placed in the bag with no bubble wrap or packing material around them and shipped.
Now the postage was correct, and the figures arrived as described. However, shipping two figures overseas in a plastic thin shopping bag seems a bit silly and potentially disastrous.
So here is the dilema. The figures arrived, shipping was not wrong or overcharged. But the way it was shipped was really not appropriate. So do I ding him on the star feedback, give his good star feedback and neutral on the written feedback with explanation, give him good on both and privately email him, or just give him good feedback and let it go, since I got what I paid for.
I'm tempted to just give him good feedback and privately email him, but I worry he will just blow it off. Any suggestions?

If you have got exactly what you paid for leave positive feedback and walk away.

He added all the ingredients to make "screw up pie" I would email him and just voice your concern on his packing methods, I am sure if it was him he would have liked a bit more effort put into the packing!

He does not deserve a neg or neutral, just an email.....

I think I would go with the positive feedback if the postage was correct and everything arrived as described. Just playing devil's advocate; the seller may not have purposely placed the figures in a crude pose (I would think they would just be able to package and ship easier that way). It also could be that the seller was doing their best to keep shipping costs down. I personally take the viewpoint at least on shipping that if the seller wants to cut corners, then they will live with the consequences if the item arrives damaged. At least from what I am guessing by Ebay standards, ownership doesn't officially change hands until it reaches you in as described condition.

Send him his positive feedback in a thin plastic shopping bag?

I've had the same thing happen to me, but in a cereal box. I'd let it slide, but advize him that shipping like this could end up with a damaged item, which will lead to trouble eventually...

Agreed. Positive and no dings on the stars. Or don't rate his stars at all. I wouldn't even email them.

Seems you also neuted a seller for not combing shipping when it didn't say he did that.

I find many UK sellers pull stuff like that.
