Fans burning jersey of Bears QB, Cutler. What say you?

I was on the phone with my buddy from Chicago while we watched this game. We both agreed that Cutler made a poor judgment in leaving the game with a sore knee, especially when you could see him standing on the sidelines through most of the second half. I told my friend he would regret that in this league and it's happening already. Playing with pain is the nature of this business. And you don't get to the NFC championship against your arch rival and bail on your team because your knee is sore. He couldn't even identify the play in which he was hurt! I look at it like this - Emmitt Smith played an entire half with a separated shoulder and played well. Cutler should have gotten a pain injection and had that knee wrapped and gone back out there. Here's the article...

The whole team just sucked in the first half. I have never been a Cutler fan and today was just another reason to not be on his side. But again, they lost as a team.

Cutler has always given me the impression of being immature. Don't know, obviously, what he is like on the field, but the way the O line played, maybe he felt that he was a sack away from becoming Joe Theismann?
        It's all good!

That entire team sucked eggs today. 3 QBs... Please. What the hell? I felt like I was watching "Any Given Sunday". I thought Jamie Foxx was gonna come out onto the field... The last kid came in sucking, then it looked like he started playing well, then screwed the pooch by throwing a game ending interception. I'm not impressed.

            Can you say SUCKAGE?

Couldn't agree more. If a fan at the game would have given this quitter a (well deserved) beating after the game, I guarantee there wouldn't be a Chicago Police Officer that would arrest him. What a creep. As a Steelers fan, I didn't really care about the outcome of this game, but it sickens me to see this happen to the die hard Bear fans. They deserved better than this arrogant diva.

Ungrateful Bears fans should remember who got them to that game in the first place. Where were they before Cutler showed up, nowhere thats where.

Well, that's not entirely true. They made it to the SB with Rex Grossman a few years ago.

Yeah, I would just pass on making it this far if my QB was going to punk out like that. I felt really bad for Bear fans. That was embarrassing.

Hard for me to judge him when I do not know what his knee felt like or what his doctor told him.

I will say I felt the same way though when LT gave up on the Chargers a few years back in the playoffs. Here was Rivers playing with a torn ACL and LT was on the sidelines. I'm glad the Jets got him. He doesn't show up for the playoffs.

I think what really stands out is his disinterest on the sidelines. You never saw him fight to go back. You never saw him talking to the coach. You never even saw him encourage his team mates or the QB's going in. He simply sat or stood there and removed himself from the process. I think THAT was more tangible than the injury itself. He simply didn't look hungry to be there in any capacity. And for this to be the NFC championship against the arch rival Packers, is unacceptable to their fans. In this game, you leave it all on the field. And he didn't do that.

It's hard to sit back and play all the what if's. I realize just about every NFL player has played the game hurt. We don't know the extent of the injury and sure many players have gone on playing with broken bones, torn ligaments, etc. Just trying to play Devil's Advocate but maybe he could have played but felt like he would be doing the team a disservice to continue on when one of the backups might have been able to come in and play. Heck, we'll take him Washington too. Then we'd have two Chicago QB's. Chances are the Redskins will get an opportunity to draft the best QB coming out of the draft.

I am a Bronco fan and wasn't sold on Cutler when he was there. I am not surprised by this at all. He is a good QB but I just have to question his heart at times.
