I know! It was a gorgeous day yesterday, and it looks like it will be another one today!

I think I may be anemic...feet and hands are always cold. I feel naked without a sweater. Ask Sharry. She thinks I'm nuts, and even if it's really hot I wear long sleeves.

It's -20 C here right now. I'm told it will go up to 0 tomorrow which I'm looking forward to. I broke down and bought an new winter jacket last week because mine wouldn't zip up any more and it wasn't all that warm of a jacket to begin with. Now I stay toasty warm when I go out!

It has been bipolar here in the Peach State lately.

One day its in the 60s the next it doesn't get higher than 40.

I wish it would be one or the other.

The apartment building next to mine (about 50 feet away) is burning this morning because of the cold.

It started because the pipes froze and the maintenance guys tried to thaw them with a hair dryer and "heat gun" ... and it got out of hand.

At this moment there's at least 50 firemen there battling it including local TV news, Salvation Army and Red Cross. ... Looks like at least 6 trucks including the brigade chief's SUV.

What made matters worse is the hydrants wont work ... I assume they're frozen --- so the firemen have to pump the water from the local creek.

So far 3 apartments are obviously destroyed.

I don't think anyone is hurt because the people had plenty of time to evacuate.

I did hear 1 dog is missing and 1 cat didn't make it.

Hope the firmen are ok ... it's not over yet.
